A very exciting opportunity - Our client is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead a dynamic team of 90+ drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors. This role is pivotal in ensuring customer orders are delivered safely, on time, and in full compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations — all while driving efficiency and building a strong, safety-first culture.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Lead and mentor transportation supervisors, drivers, and dispatchers
✅ Oversee fleet operations, including equipment purchases, maintenance, fuel contracts, licensing & permits
✅ Manage budgets, cost controls, and implement process improvements
✅ Direct company safety programs — from driver meetings to accident investigations
✅ Ensure DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and regulatory compliance across the department
✅ Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to meet KPIs and deliver results
What You’ll Bring:
🔹 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management, or related field (preferred)
🔹 3–5 years of logistics, distribution, or transportation leadership experience
🔹 Strong knowledge of DOT rules, FMCSA guidelines, and OSHA regulations
🔹 Class A CDL (preferred)
🔹 Proven leadership skills in staffing, safety management, budgeting, and process optimization
🔹 Technical proficiency in MS Office, labor standards systems, and transportation technologies (e.g., JD Edwards, voice selection systems)
