Job Title: Powder Coat Painter
Job Description

As a Powder Coat Painter, you will operate a paint booth to apply powder coating on various custom-fabricated metal parts, ranging from trashcan lids to elevator interiors. You will hang the parts on racks, roll them into the booth, and use powder coating methods to complete the painting process. Occasionally, you will employ wet painting methods for approximately 5% of customers who prefer them due to cost considerations. Additionally, you will change colors on the spray paint machine as needed and will typically be responsible for hanging your own parts.

• Manage your own parts for painting.

Essential Skills

• Experience with powder coating.
• Proficiency in wet painting methods.
• Familiarity with industrial painting techniques and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing.
• Comfortable using spray guns and paint prep techniques.
• Steel-toe boots are required.

Work Environment

Work on the first shift from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday. The facilities consist of two warehouse-like buildings that are dirty and not climate-controlled, leading to extreme temperatures depending on the season. The team is gritty and diverse, requiring candidates to work well with a range of personalities.

This is a Contract position based out of Shepherdsville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
