Job Description

Frost Brown Todd LLP , a national law firm with over 1,000 legal and business professionals across eighteen offices, is seeking a full-time Business Analyst to join our growing team. The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the firm’s strategic and operational initiatives by analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting with the implementation of technology and process solutions. This position serves as a crucial liaison among legal personnel, administrative departments, technical teams, and external vendors, ensuring business needs are accurately captured, clearly documented, and effectively translated into actionable, cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that support firm growth, client service innovation, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify, understand, and document business needs, translating them into comprehensive, solution-driven requirements and workflows.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) business planning and execution. Review quality assurance (QA), write UAT test scripts, coordinate testing activities and manage user acceptance sign-off.
  • Work with the Project Manager to analyze and prioritize risks based on impact and likelihood, creating risk matrices, and providing recommendations for focus areas.
  • Create, manage, and monitor project tasks, milestones, and deadlines in coordination with technical and project management teams; provide regular updates on project status.
  • Assist with change management efforts, including communication planning, training, user engagement and post-implementation support.
  • Develop a strong understanding of key stakeholders, legal and business processes, and the firm’s systems to effectively gather, validate, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable specifications by applying knowledge of technical, legal, and business concepts; break down specifications into prioritized tasks for assignment and implementation by technical teams.
  • Participate in the evaluation, selection, configuration, testing, and deployment of new systems and system enhancements.
  • Support end-user training and promote adoption of business applications, ensuring alignment with process changes and system capabilities.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of business requirements, processes, assumptions, methodologies, and data sources used during analysis.
  • Escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner and proactively inform stakeholders of potential risks or delays.
  • Conduct risk identification sessions with stakeholders to assess potential risks related to requirements, resources, and project feasibility.
  • Conduct research and testing to evaluate system functionality, user behavior, and emerging needs to inform future enhancements or training.
  • Monitor and evaluate post-implementation outcomes to ensure solutions are delivering expected value; recommend adjustments or enhancements as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a professional services or legal environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office application suite and project management software.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear, understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with attorneys, administrative staff, and IT teams to understand diverse perspectives and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish detailed project and communication plans with accurate resources and timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes, evaluate options, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, client service orientation, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to work over 40 hours per week and travel as needed across the firm’s national footprint. Some travel will be involved (estimate is minimal 5%).

Frost Brown Todd offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401k/profit sharing retirement package.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
