About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Economic and Workforce Development and Continuing Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, vision, and administrative management in the design, development, and assessment of goals related to workforce and economic development. This includes overseeing the delivery of high-quality workforce programs, trainings, and continuing education programs. The role also involves strategic planning, budget management, and seeking alternative funding sources to support the division's activities. The Vice President will be expected to have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to work towards enhancing the diversity of the college and the division. Candidates for this position must have a Master's degree and at least 7 years' of administrative or managerial experience in corporate or higher education settings. A proven track record in engaging strategic external partners, managing multi-million-dollar grants, and supervising professional staff is essential. The role requires a high-energy individual with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with various stakeholders, including business, industry, and government entities. The Vice President will also be responsible for creating and maintaining pathways between non-credit and credit instruction and integrating programs to meet the evolving needs of the labor force. A valid driver's license is required, and a Doctorate degree is preferred.
