We have been providing high-quality patient care in Irvine for over 40 years, enriching and protecting the special relationship between pets and their people. Our energetic and passionate team includes 3 veterinarians and our exceptional support team members. We are well equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, including digital dental radiography, and the most advanced patient monitoring tools, and we offer a positive, team-oriented work environment.

We are searching for Veterinary Assistants with outstanding skills with pets and people - knowledgeable about veterinary medicine, and comfortable developing relationships with all team members and clients.

Skills you will be utilizing/learning include, but are not limited to:

• Patient Assessment - Differentiating routine cases from urgent & emergency cases

• Anticipating the needs of the veterinarian

• Completing patient treatments in a timely manner

• Venipuncture & IV Catheter placement

• Radiology

• Pharmacy

• Surgical Preparation

• Anesthetic Monitoring

• Dentistry

• Patient Recovery

• Maintaining electronic medical records with accurate & detailed data

• Client communication & education

• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for all pets in the hospital

• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring the hospital is neat and clean at all times - both inside and outside

We are open 7 days a week. This position does require the ability to work at least 1 weekend day each week. The shifts are 4 days a week at 10 hours each. Salary is $19-25 , depending on experience.
