Veterinary Assistant to join our growing practice!
Alexis Road Animal Hospital strives to help our team members find a balance between life and work. The
experienced veterinary assistant would have at least two years of experience in the veterinary industry. They would be compassionate towards our patients, clients, and staff. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. They would be a positive team player looking to support our amazing team and willing to continue their own education. The ideal candidate is confident in rooming patients, helping with surgery recovery, has experience and knowledge with in-clinic laboratory equipment, can properly handle and restrain animals, is willing to work with our technicians and veterinarians, understands the importance of client education, not opposed to helping in other areas if needed, and wants to advance their skills to the next level. If you are a hard worker, able to multi-task, love working with animals and people, and are ready to continue to advance your career and skills then

Qualifications - Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
- Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
Responsibilities - Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
- Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
- Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
