Transportation Supervisor – Quality Custom Distribution Location: Apopka, Florida
Shift: Must be flexible
Schedule Options: Sunday–Wednesday
or Wednesday–Saturday

As a
Transportation Supervisor , you’ll lead and manage daily transportation operations to ensure
driver performance ,
on-time delivery , and
customer satisfaction , all while supporting QCD’s operational goals for efficiency, reliability, and safety. Key Responsibilities
Oversee and optimize daily transportation activities, including route analysis, delivery performance, and staffing needs (25%)
Schedule and manage equipment and personnel to meet delivery demands, including special or supplemental orders (20%)
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance providers for timely repairs (15%)
Coach and support team members through performance evaluations, feedback, and daily motivation (20%)
Enforce company policies and resolve employee issues in a union environment (10%)
Monitor and update routing systems (XATA, CADEC) and review driver data to maintain operational standards (10%)
Perform other duties as assigned
Leadership Responsibilities
Supervise up to 100+ hourly associates
Lead operations that directly impact customer relationships and overall satisfaction
Performance Metrics
Budget management
Driver KPIs (off-load rate, on-time delivery, reliability)
DOT compliance and safety standards
Team collaboration and interdepartmental support
AIB rating and customer service excellence
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Psychology, or related field preferred
Experience:
3–6 years in transportation or food distribution
Experience managing unionized teams
Knowledge:
DOT regulations, safety compliance, labor contracts (Journey-level)
Route planning and scheduling systems (Basic to Journey)
Project and budget management (Basic)
Skills:
Team leadership and conflict resolution
Customer service and issue resolution
Data analysis and reporting
Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, routing systems)
Ability to travel and work flexible hours
