Overview
We are seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our client’s maintenance team in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience repairing and maintaining semi-truck trailers, with strong diagnostic, welding, and preventative maintenance skills. This is a first-shift position offering steady work, a professional environment, and opportunities for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
· Inspect, diagnose, and repair semi-truck trailers, including brakes, suspensions, landing gear, and electrical systems
· Perform preventative maintenance on trailers to ensure DOT compliance
· Repair and replace trailer parts such as lights, wiring, doors, tires, and flooring
· Conduct welding and fabrication as needed
· Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation
· Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
· Communicate with supervisors and drivers regarding repair status and recommendations
Requirements
· Previous trailer mechanic experience required (minimum 2 years preferred)
· Strong understanding of air brake systems, hydraulics, and trailer suspension
· Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical manuals
· Must have own basic hand tools; specialized tools provided
· Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a shop environment
