Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation features an expansive coalition of schools that allow our children to develop a sense of purpose and value, receive a higher quality education, join a welcoming community and feel secure in a a dynamic future. Job Summary

Under the direction of the school principal, the substitute teacher is responsible for supporting Sts Joachim and Ann Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of St. Louis in its mission to evangelize and catechize youth in a Catholic School environment. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Excellent communications skills including written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter and be well-organized; must be a team player.

  • Available from 7:00 am - 3:30 am.

  • Ability to answer phone, text and email messages as early as 5:00 am.

  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficiency classroom management skills.

  • Ability to work classroom smart boards and technology as it fits into the classroom curriculum.

  • Capable of manipulating around the campus with ease.

  • Willing to work recess, lunch and other supervision duties as needed. 

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • The ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check.

  • Professional bearing and clean and neat personal appearance.

Job Requirements

  • 20 college credit hours or equivalent 

  • Substitute Certification (not required)

  • Prevent and Protect Program completed through the Archdiocese
