Job Description

Join us as a Substance Abuse Counselor at New Season in Rockland, ME. This full‑time role offers a competitive salary of $75,000–$85,000, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the community. Description You will provide individual, group, and family counseling to patients dealing with substance use disorder (SUD). Working with a collaborative treatment team—including a Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses—you will identify and address clinical needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation. Essential Functions Complete patient intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork. Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions. Create individualized psychosocial treatment plans within required timeframes. Identify and address clinical or case‑management needs. Provide individual, group, and family counseling as needed. Deliver at least 20 hours of direct one‑on‑one patient contact per week. Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps. Obtain urine drug screens and initial patient photo identification. Adhere to program policies and protect proprietary information.
