Job Summary:
The SMT Operator I is responsible for set-up, operation and maintenance of equipment in support of Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes and procedures for Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. Reports to the Operations Manager.
Here's what you'll get: Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 Hourly
Hours: 40 hrs/Week.
Length: Temp to direct.
Here's what you'd do: - The SMT Operator I is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment to support the client's Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes and procedures.
- Reports to the Operations Manager.
- Set up, operate, and maintain screen printers, glue machines, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners, conveyors, and other equipment used in the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards.
- Ensure the daily build plan is met in accordance with the production planner's requirements.
- Interface with complex machine hardware and software.
- Identify and report defective components.
- Control, document, and process non-conforming material.
- Perform minor machine adjustments as needed.
- Inspect own work to ensure accuracy and integrity of work performed.
- Participate in the development of new product introduction (NPI) by assisting in creating, debugging, and setting up programs; and train new operators to perform NPI as needed.
- Ensure product meets established workmanship standards.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain data logs.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the work area and the surrounding workspace.
- Responsible for the accuracy of work-in-process.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SMT equipment operation.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferably electronic manufacturing)
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience with NPI.
- IPC-A-610 Certified.
- ESD Training.
- Knowledge of component identification and nomenclature.
- Knowledge of component handling, including ESD requirements.
- Basic computer skills, problem-solving, and workstation skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Capable of performing job functions utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC-610 requirements.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
