Salary: $28 - $30 per hour depending on experience plus benefits

We are currently looking for an energetic and well-organized individual who has extensive experience with private security services, to fill a full-time position at one of our customer locations in the Green Hills area. Job Expectations:

Provide private security services for a private school located in the Green Hill area. Year round position.

Daily responsibility includes but not limited to:

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversees the daily workflow, schedules and assignments of security staff.
• Supply daily reports to the supervisor and to other security personnel.
• Secure campus and personnel by patrolling campus, including buildings, parking lots, and athletic fields, as well as inspecting buildings and access points.
• When faced with a threat, be capable of choosing the appropriate and legal level of force necessary to preserve life and safety of our clients, including deadly force.
• Implements safety and security protocols to ensure a safe school environment.
• Serves as the school liaison with local, state and federal public safety agencies on all matters related to school safety.
• Assist with the hiring, training, assigning and evaluating of all security personnel. 
• Participates in training and professional development to increase individual skills and proficiency related to the assigned duties. 
• Maintain a positive and courteous demeanor, and communicate with others in a professional, and respectful manner.
• Accompany personnel and students between buildings and to parking lots upon request.
• Formally log all observations, occurrences and surveillance activities in a timely and accurate manner. 
• Politely direct campus guests to appropriate log-in points, and professionally notify unwanted visitors to leave the campus grounds.
• Occasionally the work may include moving furniture, setting-up and tearing-down public events, and assisting with exterior building needs (teamwork as long it does not compromise the main security duties)

Requirements: 

• Must have demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must have attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations calmly.

• Must possess a current Tennessee Armed Security Guard license.
• Must have previous experience in security management, law enforcement, the U.S. military, or in a related field.
• Must be trained and proficient with a pistol.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• Must be able to pass the TBI criminal background check required to work in educational facilities with children present

Minimum Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma.
• Required to provide personal firearm; to be approved by the Director of Serva Security.
• Able to comply with the eligibility to work in the United States via a Federal E-Verify check
• Able to work in Smoke-Free campus.

Physical:

• Work will be both indoor and outdoor and require long periods of movement and activity.
• This position requires standing, walking, and working in noisy environments. 
• Position requires working in all types of weather.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• This position requires carrying a firearm and other required security items at all times.

Working Hours:

Variable weekly schedule: work shifts range from 6:00 am through 7:30 pm, Mondays - Saturdays. 

Evening campus events will require flexibility as the work shift covers later in the evening. Occasional shift coverage for other officers and large events will impact the typical work shift

Compensation:

$28 - $30 per hour depending of experience.
