Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Facility in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while armed, following all applicable protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to authorized personnel and visitors.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any unusual circumstances promptly to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or identification of individuals entering restricted areas.
• Document incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols and/or in response to events according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
