Hotel Daphne seeks an enthusiastic Sales Manager to join our team. This role will be focused on selling the hotel product, providing efficient service and meaningful experiences; you will be part of a team passionate about lifestyle hospitality, committed to nurturing curiosity and new skills, and building connections with guests and colleagues across the hotel. This position reports to the hotels Area Director of Sales.

The Role

The role of the Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. The ideal candidate is a career sales professional and a top producer within hotel sales who has demonstrated through performance a commitment and expertise in direct sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conduct site inspections, solicit and generate business.
• Prepare and present effective proposals.
• Maintain well organized documentation and reports.
• Utilize Hyatt systems and coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate.
• Participate in meetings and may lead meetings.
• Work as a team member with the sales and catering staff and maintain close contact with assigned administrative and support staff.
• Solicit, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts, which exhibit potential for business.
• Assist Director of Sales & Marketing with projects and may take on leadership functions.

Qualifications

Experience Required

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast?paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have 3?5 years of hotel sales experience.
• Must have general computer knowledge.
• Must have selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.

Experience Preferred

• Bachelors Degree in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field strongly preferred.
