Construction Safety Manager

Location: Upper Sandusky, OH
Duration: 8 Months (Start: Beginning of October)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Since 1963, Sheakley has been a leader in safety management outsourcing. We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety operations for our client in Upper Sandusky, OH. • Hourly Rate: $49/hr (non-local) or $56/HR (local)
• Per Diem: $125/Day on seven days
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly

Schedule:

• 50+ hours; M-F, 1st shift and 2nd shift with potential for weekend work

The construction safety manager will oversee all phases of construction for a new soy bean cruch facility

Candidates must have the following requirements:

• OSHA 510 or higher
• The OSHA 30 may be acceptable if the candidate has sufficient experience in construction safety.
• 5+ years of experience as a construction safety manager

• Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
• Provide safety training as needed
• Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
• Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required

• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

• Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
• Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
