Construction Safety Manager

Location: Hilliard, OH
Duration: 4+ Months (Start: 9/22)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Since 1963, Sheakley has been a leader in safety management outsourcing. We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety operations for our client in Hilliard, OH. • Hourly Rate: $50/hr
• Per Diem: No perdiem
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly

Schedule:

• Mon – Sat | 10hr shifts M-F + 8hr shift on Sat | 58hrs/week | 0730 - 1530

The construction safety manager will oversee the safety of the Installation of electrical systems, underground wiring, conduit support, hot work, and lockout/tagout. This position is for the Amazon LCK building. This is the government side of AWS, and the candidate will need to be a US citizen, pass background and drug screening.

Candidates must have the following requirements:

• OSHA 510
• 5+ years of experience as a construction safety manager
• Data center, electrical safety exp

• Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
• Provide safety training as needed
• Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
• Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required

• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

• Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
• Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
