Compensation: $20 - $27/hr based on experience and performance.

Location: Grand Island VA Medical Center - 2201 N Broadwell Ave, Grand Island, NE 68803

Schedule/Hours: 8-hour shift Monday - Friday

Job Type: Full-time W-2 permanent position with benefits

Carpenter​ Job Summary:

The Povolny Group is seeking a full-time/permanent Carpenter for a large commercial facility at the Grand Island VA Medical Center in Grand Island, NE. Skills necessary include commercial steel stud framing, trim work, suspended ceilings, windows, and doors. Must be able to deal with customers in a courteous, professional manner.

QC Manager​ Responsibilities:

• Acoustical Ceiling Installation
• Drywall Finishing/Taping
• Drywall Hanging
• Form Work
• Metal Stud Installation
• Installing ICRA barriers for hospital patient protection and ICRA compliance

QC Manager Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of carpentry experience with skills in commercial steel stud framing, trim work, suspended ceilings, windows and doors
• OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain certification upon employment)
• Experience in a hospital setting or government project is a plus
• Good communication skills and ability to work directly with customers
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong craftsmanship
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and subcontractors
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75 pounds) regularly. Extended periods of standing, bending, and working in various physical conditions. Comfortable using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
