We are looking for a skilled PART TIME Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to our accounting operations, focusing specifically on accounts payable tasks. The role requires hands-on experience and the ability to work effectively within a structured schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.

• Handle check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions with precision.

• Reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies.

• Manage account coding and verify proper allocation of expenses.

• Provide support for vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.

• Maintain organized records for all accounts payable transactions.

• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Adapt quickly to assigned tasks and contribute to process improvements.

• Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including coding invoices and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency in handling ACH transactions and managing check runs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
• Knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures.
• Availability to work on-site on a part-time basis, two days per week.
