Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join a respected Cancer and Infusion Center in scenic western Massachusetts as a Travel (or local) Oncology Pharmacist.
Start Date: ASAPEvaluate oncology patient therapy for appropriateness, incorporating age-specific considerations and clinical interventions to prevent adverse drug events
Provide operational support and education for new treatment regimens at the Cancer and Infusion Center
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff while ensuring pliance with sterile pounding and chemotherapy preparation regulations
Oversee and maintain inventory of all required oncology medications
Collaborate with the oncology team to standardize chemotherapeutic ordering procedures
Develop and update departmental and nursing policies; contribute to clinical research and professional development initiatives
5+ years of acute-care clinical pharmacy experience
Proven ability to independently mix and pound sterile products (required)
ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology strongly preferred
Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work independently within established policies and supervise support personnel
Experience with specialty pharmacy medication management
Must have a personal vehicle for travel needs
