Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Join a respected Cancer and Infusion Center in scenic western Massachusetts as a Travel (or local) Oncology Pharmacist.

Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: MondayFriday, Day shifts (approx. 7:00 a.m.3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.4:30 p.m.)
Type: 13-week travel contract (option for temp-to-hire) Responsibilities

• Evaluate oncology patient therapy for appropriateness, incorporating age-specific considerations and clinical interventions to prevent adverse drug events

• Provide operational support and education for new treatment regimens at the Cancer and Infusion Center

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff while ensuring pliance with sterile pounding and chemotherapy preparation regulations

• Oversee and maintain inventory of all required oncology medications

• Collaborate with the oncology team to standardize chemotherapeutic ordering procedures

• Develop and update departmental and nursing policies; contribute to clinical research and professional development initiatives

Qualifications

• 5+ years of acute-care clinical pharmacy experience

• Proven ability to independently mix and pound sterile products (required)

• ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology strongly preferred

• Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification strongly preferred

• Demonstrated ability to work independently within established policies and supervise support personnel

• Experience with specialty pharmacy medication management

• Must have a personal vehicle for travel needs
