Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Department: Player Development
Classification: 1099-Independent Contractor
Summary:
The Program at D-BAT Lewisville (Lewisville, TX) is currently seeking applicants for a Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. Duties include but are not limited to: Leads and supervises sport-specific programs for facility athletes. Leads in the development and assessment of long- and short-term goals for individual athletes and teams. Also leads in the communication of program planning with coaches, training schedules, and designs of programs for year-round strength, power, speed, agility, mobility, and overall sports performance development.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
The Strength and Conditioning Coach will be expected to:
● Coaches/mentors athletes in their strength and conditioning training in the weight room.
● Provide athletes with sport specific instruction focused on injury prevention and improved sports performance.
● Collaborate in meetings with coaches and/or strength instructors regarding the strength and conditioning program and participants
● Sets up facilities and performs duties related to preparation for work with athletes
● Leads and supervises assistants, interns, etc
Requirements / Qualifications:
· High School/Collegiate playing experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, exercise science, or sport-performance related discipline
· NSCA:CSCS/CSCCa:SCCC Certification
· Ability to understand and advocate for changes due to new information and or tools in sports performance
· Ability to work and communicate well with people
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Proficient in basic use of computers including Microsoft Office
Additional Requirements / Qualifications:
● Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
● Ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as bending, reaching, throwing, etc.
Compensation:
● Compensation will be based on qualifications and prior experience
