United Trades of America is currently seeking experienced Traveling Welders for a high-profile industrial project located in Panama City, Florida . This project requires welders with a solid background in structural and/or pipe welding in industrial or heavy commercial environments. Welders will be responsible for fitting, welding, and inspecting work to ensure it meets or exceeds project standards.
This is a travel role - per diem is available for qualified candidates.
Pay is based on experience. Competitive hourly rates + per diem.
Perform various types of welding including MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW/GTAW/GMAW) on structural steel and piping systems
Interpret and work from blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
Prep materials, cut, grind, and align components as needed
Follow project specifications and welding procedures
Conduct visual and quality inspections on welds; maintain consistent quality
Work in coordination with foremen and other trades to ensure project milestones are met
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment
Report progress, issues, and material needs in a timely manner
Minimum 3+ years of welding experience in commercial or industrial environments
Ability to pass weld tests (plate and/or pipe, depending on scope)
Familiarity with various types of welding processes and materials
Must have own welding hood, basic hand tools, and PPE
Willingness to travel to Panama City, FL and work overtime as needed
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or on a team
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Certified welder (AWS or other recognized certs)
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Prior experience with traveling crews or per diem projects
Comfortable working outdoors or in industrial conditions
