Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines. The role involves conducting quality checks and utilizing measuring instruments like calipers, OD ID mics, and depth mics for first-piece inspection. The ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions is essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various CNC machines.
• Conduct full machine set-up, including changing jaws, tooling, and touching off tools.
• Pick programs from the library and follow provided setup sheets for all parts.
• Perform multiple setups daily, sometimes two or three times a day, due to short runs and small batches.
• Conduct in-process inspections using gages to ensure parts meet tolerances, typically around .002 to .005, with some as precise as .0005 for bearing turns and pockets.

Work Environment

This role is based in a typical manufacturing facility that is well-lit but not climate controlled. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 am.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
