About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in its transition from a Managing General Agency (MGA) to a full-stack carrier. The successful candidate will be tasked with bringing order to legacy financials, architecting the future-state finance function, and serving as a strategic partner to the CEO. This high-impact position requires a CFO who can manage capital allocation, lead the preparation for an AM Best rating, and configure the finance layer of a new API-driven system. The role demands a hands-on approach, with a focus on real-time reporting, and the ability to advise on key financial decisions. The ideal CFO will have a background in the insurance sector, particularly in guiding an MGA's evolution into a carrier, and will be adept at operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in senior finance leadership within the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of GAAP, STAT, and MGA revenue models. The role is suited to a proactive, solutions-driven individual who is comfortable with ambiguity and can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution. The CFO will be expected to be a pragmatic, action-oriented leader, capable of scaling teams and resources judiciously.
