Job Description

Position: Azure Data Engineer

Location: Washington DC. ***Day 1 Onsite***

Duration: 1 Year

1. Experience with big data architecture, data sourcing, ingestion, curation, and storage mechanisms.
2. Knowledge of real-time / near-real-time data warehousing concepts and design approaches.
3. Understanding of OLTP and OLAP concepts, with strong knowledge of database and data warehousing system design.
4. Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development and design in RDBMS environments such as MS SQL Server and Oracle 11g/18c/19c.
5. Experience with NoSQL databases within an enterprise context, including design and modeling approaches.
6. Building and migrating complex ETL pipelines from on-premise systems to cloud databases like Azure SQL Data Warehouse and Spark to support elastic system growth.
7. Providing high-level ETL technical services and support; recognized as an expert in multiple ETL technologies; mapping data sources to destinations.
8. Building and migrating complex ETL pipelines to cloud databases such as Azure SQL Data Warehouse and Spark.
9. Experience with Azure Data Lake ETL pipelines, including Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and SQL Data Warehouse.
10. Expertise in data modeling on Azure SQL Database and SQL Data Warehouse.
11. Experience building Azure Data Catalog.
12. Data integration: Building pipelines and workflows (ETL) with Azure Data Factory.
