Salary: $140,000-$170,000

We’re the New Terminal One (NTO) at John F. Kennedy International Airport, a bold and exciting project to develop a world class, international terminal that can serve as a global gateway to the New York metropolitan area and the greater United States. The $9+ billion first phase is the largest single asset project financing in US history. It will be built on sites now occupied by Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and the former Terminal 3, where it will anchor JFK’s south side. Construction will take place in phases, with the first phase, including the new arrivals and departures hall and first set of new gates, expected to open in 2026.

NTO will set a new standard for design and service and aspires to obtain a global Top 5 Skytrax rating as one of the finest ten airport terminals in the world.

You are a visionary and dynamic leader, ready to steer the course of digital transformation at our airport as the Airport IT Digital Director. With a strategic mindset and a passion for innovation, you are poised to lead our digital initiatives, driving technology solutions that enhance the passenger experience, operational efficiency, and revenue generation. Your background in digital strategy and technology innovation, especially in the aviation or transportation industry, equips you with the insight and expertise necessary to excel in this pivotal role.

What You Will Do:

As the Airport IT Digital Director, you will:

  • Develop and implement digital strategies that align with the airport's objectives, focusing on enhancing the passenger experience and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and integrate emerging technologies like IoT, AI, blockchain, and AR to innovate and add value across airport operations.
  • Enhance the digital customer experience through initiatives like self-service kiosks, mobile apps, and digital signage.
  • Improve operational efficiency and generate new revenue streams using digital technologies and automation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful digital solutions.
  • Establish data governance and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
  • Ensure digital solutions adhere to cybersecurity and privacy standards.
  • Manage digital project lifecycles, including resource allocation, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Champion digital transformation within the organization, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

  • Proficiency in project management and a deep understanding of digital technologies and their applications in the airport context.

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, along with extensive experience in digital strategy, technology innovation, or leadership roles in digital transformation.
  • Expertise in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT service delivery, with a proven ability to lead successful digital initiatives.
  • Relevant project management certifications and experience in change management are desirable.
  • Airport/Aviation/Airline experience preferred. 

Where You Will Work:

We are located in Building 111 in Jamacia Queens. As NTO progresses towards its operational phase, your role will transition to the vibrant and dynamic environment of JFK International Airport, where you will be directly involved in the day-to-day activities of this state-of-the-art international terminal.
