Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with an Elmira NY client of his that has been growing a lot. This is a newly created role. The organization is looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Associate to join their team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing customer accounts, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining timely collections to support the company’s financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Help generate and issue customer invoices and account statements with precision and timeliness.
• Accurately process customer payments, including checks, wire transfers, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
• Monitor account balances to ensure timely collections and actively address overdue payments.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to billing and payments.
• Communicate with customers to discuss account status, payment arrangements, and resolve concerns.
• Prepare aging reports and contribute to monthly accounts receivable reporting for management review.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring accurate receivable records.
• Collaborate with teams such as sales, customer service, and accounting to address account-related concerns.
• Assist with various accounting tasks and special projects as needed to support overall financial operations.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in cash applications, billing functions, and commercial collections.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with both customers and internal teams.
